Hello Beer Week Fans!
4 days down and still 6 wonderfully beer filled days to go. Tonight, Tuesday the 11th we tap kegs from Kern River and Knee Deep. We have managed to get some additional Kern River kegs. Here is the line up we will be tapping at 5 pm from Kern – Just Outstanding IPA, Belgian Wit, Class V Stout (nitro), the new Shuttle Bunny Double IPA, Lost in the Woods Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine and the collaboration Deep River Double IPA brewed at Kern River. For those who might not be able to make it early, we will also be tapping FRESH KEGS AT 7 pm of both JO IPA and Shuttle Bunny Double IPA. Look for the Brewer Kyle and the Kern River crew to be at the pub from 6-8 pm.
From Knee Deep we will have both cask and draft of the Kern/Knee Deep collaboration Deep River Double IPA along with Hoptologist, Simtra and Midnight Black Double IPA. The kitchen will be spicing things up with Curried Sloppy Joes, an awesome Indian-inspired Lentil Soup and the Spicy Steak Sandwich.
As another added bonus, we are hoping to debut the Lost Abbey 20th Anniversary barrel blend this week on Thursday. We hand selected four barrels for the blend from versions of Judgement Day and Old Viscosity in Rye, Bourbon and Brandy barrels. I am 90% sure that we will be able to pour it, I am just working out the final logistics with Tomme and his team. Check the Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/obrienspubsd and/or Twitter (@obrienspubsd) for the latest updates on Thursday.
