Hello Beer Fans!
We have some fantastic beers for a good cause for you to enjoy this evening. We are tapping an entire line up of beers brewed in honor of the Pink Boots Society, an all female coalition of brewers and beer industry movers and shakers. PBS had a special hop blend made with Loral, Citra, Mosaic and Palisade. We will have 10 beers featuring this blend from Stone, Eppig, Council, 2 Kids, Pizza Port, Coronado and more. Of course there will be lots of hoppy beers including IPAs and Double IPAs but we will have many more styles as well including a hopped up Gose. We will be donating a portion of the proceeds from tonight to the Pink Boots Society Scholarship Fund.
If you would like to find out more about the Pink Boots Society and their mission, please visit the group’s website at: https://www.pinkbootssociety.org/.
And since it is Friday you also get to enjoy Steak Night tonight.
And because it is 4/20 we will have kegs of Lagunitas Waldo and Revision Dabalicious.
Tomorrow Night the kitchen will be serving up a Braised Leg of Lamb dinner with Herb Mashed Potatoes and Garlicky Spinach for just $12 starting at 5 pm! And we will still have the Pink Boots Society beers on tap.
Our Eppig Beer Dinner for Sunday night is sold out but if you are interested in going, call the pub and put your name on the wait list. The last few dinners we have had some last minute cancellations and we have been able to get everyone on the waiting list into the dinner. The cost is just $50 and we will be serving up 6 food courses including Birthday Bacon and 8 beers. The dinner starts at 6:30 pm.
Looking ahead, the kitchen is planning a special Taco Night/Mexican Food menu for Cinco de Mayo which just happens to fall on May 5th this year. On the beer side we will be serving up Nickel Jalapeno Gold. And in an O’Brien’s first, we will have Sabe Margaritas. Sabe Tequila is a blend of rice wine with real Tequila. It is the best tasting mock spirit we have ever come across. Stop by on Cinco and see for yourself and enjoy some great food.
Next month’s beer dinner will be with Second Chance. Stay tuned to our Instagram and Facebook for updates on when tickets will be on sale. We will also be hosting a Nickel Beer night in the near future featuring the new Bruce Banner Grade Double IPA brewed with Simcoe and Mosaic. And look for a blind Pilsner tasting in May featuring some of San Diego’s finest lagers and you get to pick your favorite without knowing which brewery made what beer.
That is your good beer news for now. We’ll see you soon for a great Pink Boots Society beer. Cheers, Tom
